| A
few issues ago, we talked about using Murasu
Anjal2000 with IM tools like Yahoo! and
MSN. We have further improved on the
documentation to include Yahoo! Messenger
5.0, which allows us to set the font for our
messages as well as the other parties.
This way,
you and your party need not have the same
fonts installed in your system.

Converting
Tamil text with Murasu Text File Converter |
| Some
of you may have been using the text
conversion utility in your current
installation of Murasu Anjal2000. This
utility comes as a PlugIn to Anjal and can
be started by right clicking on the
minimised Anjal icon (bottom right of your
screen) and selecting the "FIle
Converter" menu item.
The tool
allows you to convert a file that contains
Tamil text in one format to another.
Typically, users have been using this tool
to convert Text from TAB format to TSCII and
vice-versa.
Now, what
if you do not know the format of the text
that is in the file?
The new
version of the converter can help you detect
the format automatically. We have added the
"Auto-detect" feature along with
other features into the new version.
This
version will be integrated into Anjal2000-SE
(see below). You may also download
this as a separate application and use it
right away. The converter software can
be downloaded from

and WindowsXp |
| We
have been getting emails from our users
asking if Anjal2000 will work on WindowsXp.
The good
news is that it works as well as it does on
older versions of Windows.
Users who
have installed Anjal2000 on their WindowsXp
machines have even created Unicode Tamil
documents using Anjal's keyboard and fonts.
You may
download Anjal Unicode fonts from for
Windows2000 and WindowsXP from
