The first preview of AnjalMobile was done in August 2003 in Kuala
Lumpur followed by a public presentation in Colombo in June 2004.
Recently (September 2004), we demonstrated this software on selected
phone models during a conference in Singapore.
Since then, we have been getting numerous emails from
enthusiastic users who are keen to get their hands on this software
to send and receive Tamil SMS messages.
AnjalMobile is currently being used by selected
customers and end-users. We are planning for a general public
release in a few months. To help prepare you for this
revolutionary release, we will be providing you with information
from time to time.
AnjalMobile requires some features to be readily
present on the mobile phone. As such, it will not run on all
phones. The good news is, most of the newer generation phones
already have these features.
To possible extends, we have tested AnjalMobile on
the most commonly used phones in Malaysia and Singapore. A
very brief list is provided here (please see links below).
To help you check your phone’s ability to run
AnjalMobile, we have built a small application that you can download
and run on your phones. This utility, known as AnjalTest will check
for the required capabilities and present the results on the phone
screen.
Finally, we have created a
