| Some Tamil Characters I type in MS-Word appear as junk. How do I solve this problem? |
When using Anjal Pro with MS-Word to type Tamil text, you may come across a few problems like appearing of some junk characters or first letter of a word getting changed to some other character as soon as you finish typing the word etc.
These problems are almost always caused by MS-Word trying to automatically correct what it thinks as spelling/style/grammer mistakes. As MS-Word does not have a clue about what is right or wrong in Tamil, the auto correct feature must be disabled while typing Tamil text.
This can be done by choosing the menu item Tools >> Auto Correct in MS-Word. A tabbed windows pops up. Go to AutoCorrect Tab and uncheck all the boxes. Go to AutoFormat tab and uncheck all boxes under the caption "Apply". Press "OK" to save these changes.
